Bradmore Green, Broad Green, Sanderstead, Shirley and South Norwood libraries are all under threat of closures due to Croydon council having to make cuts after the issuing of a Section 114 notice last November 2020.

Croydon UNISON feel that public libraries are vital community assets that provide important services to local people.

These services apart from providing a wide range of books and audio items for loan include free computer use, regular childrens activities to support parents like Rhymetime, free talks and provides a wealth of other community information.
