Say no to more Cuts Protest on Thursday 18th November 2021

Croydon UNISON and other local unions are holding a
Say no to more Cuts” protest to campaign against more cuts at Croydon council.

UNISON, Unite and GMB have organised a joint protest on Thursday 18th November at 12 noon to 2pm outside Bernard Weatherill House.

Join us on your lunch break to demand a halt to more cuts and to save jobs and services at Croydon Council after it announced further cuts in the budget of £38 million in 2022/23 year.

We have already seen over 350 jobs cut and services decimated over the last 18 months and more have been threatened.

Let’s send a strong message to Croydon Council and to the Government that there should be no more cuts to jobs and services.

Due to the continued COVID19 safeguards please be mindful of others around you and wearing a mask for your protection and others.

Croydon UNISON are still campaigning for a “Fairer Deal for Croydon”, launched in March 2021, the petition has over 800 signatures.

Please circulate the link below to this petition and include invitations to the protest! http://chng.it/5QHk4qgXNK

If you are unable to attend it would be good if you could still print out the attached  A4 poster and display it on your staff notice board as others may want to attend.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible. Non-members are also welcome so please tell your friends and colleagues about it.
